Everyone projects an image of who you are, your bosses, lovers, family and friends all “see” you through their own lens. Who you align with is the image you are ultimately agreeing is you. Until you actually know your true self, you will continue to align with a projected image of who you think you are based on previous encoding, including childhood, adolescent and adult trauma.
If you are in a relationship with someone (romantic, platonic, work), that doesn’t think highly of you, that’s because you don’t think highly of yourself so that image they are projecting is in agreement with your distorted view of yourself. You may then have someone in your life that does think highly of you, but since you can’t see it, you will reject that image. You will run from their expectations of you because something inside you doesn’t feel good enough.
It’s only when you see yourself truly, and wholly (holy) through God’s eyes that you will align with the partnerships that truly honor your unique signature. Once you stop rejecting the higher projection of you, and heal all those inner voices trying to keep you small, you will truly step into the life of your dreams, with the people of your dreams. Our relationships are a direct reflection of how we view ourselves.
Thinking of this actually makes me feel sad. For every rejection I faced wasn’t a matter of me not being good enough, but a reflection of them not agreeing to the beauty I saw in them. They didn’t feel good enough. My projections were never wrong, they just couldn’t see themselves the way I saw them. I pray one day they do.
You are an expression of God, here to learn and witness life. Experience the ups and downs, learn and grow. Your lessons aren’t shameful, they were opportunities to take a different path. Maybe you need to run the track a few times to figure it out, but it doesn’t matter how many laps you take, your finish line is always there. Waiting for you to accept you were chosen to be different, to stand out, to be a reflection of the Divine in all of us.
I will continue to see the beauty in others, and myself, so I can be the truest reflection of what God has planted in all of us. Magic, miracles, and unexpected uniqueness. I will reject anyone’s projections that make me feel not good enough, small, invisible. I am divine, but you’ll never see it until you see the divinity in yourself. I pray you do.
Happy Thanksgiving, take a look around to see God’s work in your life and reflect on the projections you are accepting as your truth. Do the people around you reflect your divinity or do they reflect your shadow? What do you see in them? It’s a good day to find out.
